KFI, KLOS, and KLAC Los Angeles
Some of our biggest radio partners are in Los Angeles. You may have heard Sweet James Bergener on the Tim Conway Jr Show or throughout the day on KFI AM 640. Bergener Mirejovsky is also featured mornings on 95.5 KLOS on the Heidi & Frank show and in the afternoons with Petros & Money on AM 570 LA Sports.
640 AM KFI – The AM station airs out to OC and LA audiences and operates as a talk radio station. Several DJ’s air on the program such as Bill Handel who gives free legal advice on the radio as well, John and Ken, and Bill Carroll. Tim Conway Jr can be heard weeknights from 7pm to 10pm.
95.5 FM KLOS – One of Los Angeles oldest stations, KLOS plays mostly classic rock. Weekday mornings from 6am-10am, Heidi Hamilton and Frank Army can be heard on The Heidi & Frank Show, one of LA’s most popular morning talk programs.
570 AM KLAC LA Sports – Known as Dodgers Radio – Los Angeles. The station focuses on sports with programs such as Jason Smith, Jay Mohr Sports, Ben Maller and the flagship show of LA Sports the Petros and Money Show with Petros Papadakis and Matt “Money” Smith.
Other Popular Radio Stations in Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Radio market it huge. It’s hard to do it justice without endlessly listing radio stations. But among the studios that span the entire radio spectrum there are a handful that truly stand out.
102.7 FM KIIS FM – Known has L.A.’s #1 Hit Music station playing America’s Top 40. Most notable for On Air with Ryan Seacrest who host the morning show and American Top 40 on the weekends. The station is known for hosting music concerts such as Wango Tango, and the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
106.7 FM KROQ – KROQ is known to play Alternative Rock music with the famous Kevin and Bean who host the morning program on KROQ. The station host concerts such as Weenie Roast.
104.3 FM MyFM – Plays Top 40’s, but known to play 80’s and 90’s hit music. “On with Mario” is a popular station with host Mario Lopez which airs from 7p.m. to 11 p.m. Other programs that run throughout the day are “Valentine In The Morning”, Lisa Foxx, and Dave Styles.
103.5 FM KOST – The station is known to play Top 40 Adult Contemporary Pop and Rock. Appropriate station for families to listen to especially with programs such as Love Songs with Karen Sharp, Mark Wallengren, Kari Steele, and Bruce Scott.
105.9 FM KPWR Power 106 – Airs mainly Hip Hop and Top 40’s hits and was well known for DJ Big Boy, but have recently parted ways in February 2015. The Cruz Show has taken over Big Boy’s Neighborhood for the morning show. Aside from the morning host changes, Yesi Ortiz and Dj Felli Fel are well known DJ’s on the station.
101.1 FM KRTH K-Earth 101 – K-Earth 101 is plays most U.S. oldies with DJ’s: Gary Bryan, Jim Carson, Shotgun Tom Kelly, Christina Kelley. The station updates their audience on current events and trending topics.
97.1 FM KAMP – AMP Radio airs Top 40’s hits and rivals along KIIS FM station. Morning host Carson Daly and Co-host Producer Angie. Booker also host the evening program for the station. During the weekday morning programs celebrity gossip blogger, Perez Hilton, who will share quick segments on the station.
92.3 FM KHHT Real 92.3 – Real 92.3 airs Urban contemporary music such as Hip hop and RnB. Big Boy has relocated from Power 106 to begin hosting the morning show on the weekdays. The station was previously known as Hot 92.3, but made recent changes in February 2015.
107.5 FM KLVE – K-Love is a Spanish Adult Contemporary station that is owned by Univision. DJ’s of the station are: Ysaac Alvarez, Donaji, Omar and Argelia, and Ely Venegas.
93.1 FM Jack FM – The station plays Adult Contemporary Pop, Rock and R&B hits on the station. Jack FM updates their audience on upcoming concerts and local news around the Los Angeles area.
870 AM KRLA The Answer – This is a conservative talk show station discussing the latest current events. The station hosts with several DJ’s all throughout the day on weekdays and weekends.
790 AM KABC Home of the LA KINGS – The AM station is a talk show radio format with the slogan “Home of the LA KINGS.” Weekday programs include: McIntyre in The Morning, Judge Cristina Live @ 9, Dr Drew Midday Live with Mike Catherwood, The Drive Home with Jillian Barberie and John Philips, Peter Tilden, and Jonathon Brandmeier Show.
980 AM KFWB The Beast – The AM station airs news and talk programs along with sports news. The programs airs shows like The Home Team, The Jim Rome Show, The Fred Roggin Show, and The Drive. The station main focus has been sports new and sporting events.
1070 AM KNX 1070 News Radio – A news radio station corresponding with CBS 2 and KCAL 9 news show. The station focus on current events local and nationally with several different host for each program and segments.
